The HEUER ref. 8032 : a metalic 1/10e second trackmaster
Like the ref.8042, its plastic case version, the 8032 is a 1/10e second stopwatch with a 30 second recorder and a short 15 minute register, featuring a one jewel pinlever 8040 caliber. This model is released in the second part of the 70s and is produced until the very late 90s, certainly making it, with the 8037, one of the last mecanical stopwatch produced by Tag-HEUER (HEUER is changed for Tag-HEUER in 1985). It completes ,with the 8037 and the rare 8031, the trackmaster timer familly, originaly launched in the late 60’s. In a large way, it extends general public stopwatch offer, HEUER wants to strengthen in the late of the 70s with more classical design timers and new lines of products, like trackmate or trackstar series. The manufacture might have operated this strategic choice after the success of the first plastic case and colorfull funny plastic case trackmaster 8041, 8042 and 8047 stopwatches or canam model.
