The ref. 924 : a decimal hour stopwatch for industrial purpose
Throughout the history of industry , engineers have sought to improve productivity, maximise gains and reduce costs. Faster and organised you are, bigger money you’ll make !
To optimize worker efficiency, work measurement methods, known as PMTS (for Predetermined motion time systems ) [1] were developped. Simple tasks executed by operators are timed and analyzed. PMTS systemd (like the MTM for Methods-Times Measurement[2][3]) uses one hour decimal division as time unit. Like decimal minute, these units are easier to manipulate for mathematical operations than seconds.
The HEUER ref. 924 stopwatch is designed for these applications. External scale of the recorder is divided in 100 ten-thousandth of hour. The register is divided in 30 thousandth of hour.
